  • 2 pounds pork shoulder, cubed
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 green chilies, roasted, peeled, and chopped
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the pork cubes and cook until browned on all sides.

  2. Add the chopped onions and minced garlic to the pot and sauté until the onions are translucent.

  3. Add the roasted and chopped green chilies, cumin powder, and oregano to the pot. Stir well to combine.

  4. Pour in the chicken broth and season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 2 hours, or until the pork is tender.
