Where do you even begin with seafood? You might find yourself overwhelmed by the vast selection of seafood dishes to choose from, but fret not! Our seafood recipes are here to help you out!

Preparation: 15 minutes
Cooking: 10 minutes
Total: 25 minutes

  • 2 lbs fresh mussels, cleaned and debearded
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 thumb-sized ginger, grated
  • 1 stalk lemongrass, smashed and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 2 red chili peppers, sliced
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1/4 cup scallions, sliced

  1. In a large pot, heat a small amount of oil over medium heat. Add the garlic, ginger, lemongrass, and chili peppers. Saute for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  2. Add the mussels to the pot and stir well to coat them with the aromatic mixture.

  3. Pour in the fish sauce, soy sauce, and oyster sauce. Stir to combine.

  4. Cover the pot and steam the mussels for 5-7 minutes until they have opened up. Discard any mussels that remain closed.

  5. Remove the pot from heat and sprinkle the lime juice, cilantro, and scallions over the mussels. Stir gently to mix.

  6. Serve the Thai steamed mussels hot, with the sauce from the pot. Enjoy!
