Ingredients

  • 2 lbs fresh mussels
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse and scrub mussels under cold water. Discard any open or cracked shells.

  2. In a large pot, add white wine, garlic, and butter. Bring to a boil.

  3. Add mussels and cover the pot. Cook for 5-7 minutes or until the mussels have opened.

  4. Discard any unopened mussels and season with salt and pepper.

  5. Serve in bowls with the cooking broth and sprinkled with chopped parsley.
