Ingredients

  • 2 lbs fresh mussels, cleaned and debearded
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat.

  2. Once melted, add in minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.

  3. Pour in white wine and bring to a boil.

  4. Add in cleaned mussels and stir so that they are evenly coated with the broth.

  5. Cover the pot with a lid and steam the mussels for 5-7 minutes or until they have opened up.

  6. Once cooked, remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped parsley, salt, and pepper.

  7. Serve immediately with fresh crusty bread for dipping in the flavorful broth.
