Ingredients

  • 8 oz smoked salmon, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp capers, drained
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 4 slices rye bread
  • Fresh dill sprigs, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese, sour cream, lemon juice, chopped dill, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt until well combined.

  2. Place a slice of rye bread on a serving plate. Spread a layer of the cream cheese mixture on top.

  3. Layer some smoked salmon on top of the cream cheese mixture, followed by a sprinkle of capers and chopped red onion.

  4. Repeat the layers until all the ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of cream cheese mixture on top.

  5. Garnish with fresh dill sprigs.

  6. Serve chilled and enjoy!
