Ingredients

  • 1 pound of smoked salmon
  • 1/4 cup of lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons of poppy seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh dill for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the lemon juice, olive oil, honey, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.

  2. Place the smoked salmon in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Make sure the salmon is fully coated.

  3. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld.

  4. Remove the salmon from the marinade and let any excess drip off.

  5. Spread the poppy seeds on a plate and press the salmon into the seeds to coat one side.

  6. Repeat the process for all pieces of salmon.

  7. Serve the marinated smoked salmon on a platter, garnished with fresh dill. It can be enjoyed as is or with your favorite crackers or bread.
