Serves:

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 green onion, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking dish with aluminum foil.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger.

  3. Place the salmon fillets in the prepared baking dish and brush the hoisin glaze over them, reserving some for basting later.

  4. Bake the salmon for 10-12 minutes, or until it is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  5. While the salmon is baking, heat the vegetable oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the reserved hoisin glaze and cook for 1-2 minutes, until heated through.

  6. Remove the salmon from the oven and brush it with the heated hoisin glaze. Garnish with sliced green onions.

  7. Serve the hoisin-glazed salmon with steamed rice or vegetables.
