How To Make Chorizo Sloppy Joes

You can make these chorizo sloppy joes in less than 20 minutes. A perfect combo of sweet and salty bun made with ground pork, chorizo, and brown sugar.

  • 2tbspvegetable oil
  • 1lbground pork
  • ½lbground chorizo
  • ½yellow onion,diced
  • 1tbspbrown sugar
  • 14oztomato puree
  • ½tspkosher salt
  • ¼tspcoarse ground black pepper
  • 6brioche buns,toasted
  • guacamole,for garnish


  1. In a large skillet, add the canola oil, pork, chorizo, and onions, cooking well, breaking it apart but leaving some chunks for 5 to 6 minutes.

  2. Add in the brown sugar, canned tomato puree, salt, and pepper, cooking until the sauce starts to evaporate and the mixture becomes sloppy for about 5 to 6 minutes.

  3. Spoon the mixture onto the toasted brioche buns and top with guacamole.
