How To Make Ambrosia Salad

A real classic, this ambrosia salad is filled with fresh vibrant fruits tossed in with coconut and marshmallows in a creamy yogurt dressing.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 20ozpineapple chunks(1 can), drained
  • 11ozmandarin oranges(1 can), drained
  • 10ozmaraschino cherries(1 jar), drained
  • cupsgreen grapescut in half
  • ½cupcoconutflaked
  • cupsmini marshmallows
  • 1cupheavy creamor 1½ cups of whipped topping
  • 2tspsugar
  • 1cupvanilla Greek yogurt
  • ½cupwalnutsor pecans, chopped, optional
  • maraschino cherriesmint sprigs, coconut, optional garnishes

Instructions

  1. Beat the heavy cream with a mixer just until stiff peaks form. Gently stir in the sugar. Alternatively, place the whipped topping in a medium bowl.

  2. Fold the yogurt ¼ cup at a time into the whipped cream or whipped topping.

  3. Add the pineapple, oranges, grapes, coconut, and marshmallows to the whipped cream mixture. Gently stir until the fruit is coated.

  4. Stir in the cherries and nuts if using.

  5. Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Garnish with additional cherries, coconut and mint sprigs if desired.
