How To Make Tabasco Spicy Potatoes

Seasoned with Tabasco and paprika, these spicy potatoes are inspired by the Spanish dish, patatas bravas, and are great as a snack or a side dish.

Preparation: 10 minutes
Cooking: 20 minutes
Total: 30 minutes

For Dip:

  • 4tbspHellmann’s mayonnaise
  • 4tspTabasco Pepper Sauce
  • 1lime juice

For Potatoes:

  • 8medium potatoes
  • 1thyme leaves,handful
  • 3tspTabasco Pepper Sauce
  • 1tspsea salt
  • 2tsppaprika
  • 2clovegarlic
  • ½lime juice
  • 2tbspvegetable oil

  1. Make the dip by combining the ingredients in a small bowl using a fork or a little whisk.

  2. Parboil the potatoes, in a pan of boiling water, for a maximum of 10 minutes. They need to be slightly hard so that they don’t fall apart when you sauté them.

  3. While they are boiling, mix the thyme, Tabasco, sea salt, paprika, garlic, and lime together in a small bowl.

  4. Drain the potatoes, place them in a large bowl, and gently coat them with the seasoning mixture.

  5. Heat up the oil in the pan and fry the potatoes, turning frequently, until nicely browned. Serve the potatoes with the spicy dip.
