How To Make Crispy Hawaiian Garlic Chicken
Crispy, fried chicken thighs mixed in garlicky soy sauce with jalapeno peppers and ginger makes this garlic chicken dish a spicy version of a popular dish.

Ingredients
- 1½lbchicken thighsboneless and skinless
- 1jalapenosliced, optional
- ½tspsalt
- ½cupflour
- ¼cupcornstarch
- ¼tspground black peppercoarse
- oil
- ¼cupsoy sauce
- ¼cupsugar
- 3tbspwater
- ½tspground ginger
- 2tbspgarlicminced
Instructions

Cut the chicken into 1-inch pieces and season with salt and pepper.

Slice the jalapeno into ¼ thick slices.

Heat oil on high heat, to 350 degrees F.

In a bowl, mix the salt, flour, cornstarch, and coat the chicken in the mixture.

Add about ¼ of the chicken to the oil at a time, frying in batches.

Once the chicken is fried, add the jalapeños to the oil and fry for 30 seconds.

While the chicken is frying add the rest of the ingredients to a saucepan and bring it to a boil while whisking simultaneously.

Turn off the heat as the mixture boils.

Once all the chicken is fried, toss it with the sauce mixture.
