Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup of honey
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Place the chicken thighs in a baking dish and season with salt and pepper.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the minced garlic, honey, soy sauce, olive oil, and cornstarch until well combined.

  3. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken thighs, making sure they are coated evenly.

  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the glaze is sticky and caramelized.

  5. While the chicken is cooking, prepare the sauce by combining the water and cornstarch in a small bowl. Stir until the cornstarch is dissolved.

  6. Once the chicken is done baking, remove it from the oven and brush additional glaze over the top. Return to the oven for 5 minutes.

  7. Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions, if desired.

  8. Serve the honey garlic chicken thighs over rice or with your favorite side dishes.
