How To Make Slow Cooker Whole Chicken

Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken (about 4 pounds)
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 lemon, cut into quarters
- 1 onion, coarsely chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
Instructions

Rinse the chicken under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels.

In a small bowl, combine the salt, black pepper, paprika, dried thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, dried rosemary, and dried oregano.

Rub the chicken inside and out with the olive oil, then sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over it.

Place the lemon quarters, onion, and minced garlic inside the cavity of the chicken.

Pour the chicken broth into the bottom of the slow cooker.

Place the seasoned chicken on top of the broth.

Cover the slow cooker and cook on low heat for 4 hours, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.

Carefully remove the chicken from the slow cooker and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving.

Serve the chicken with the cooked onions and garlic from the slow cooker, and spoon some of the juices over the meat.
