- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vegetable oil
- 1 cup ground pork
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp sesame oil
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup water for sealing dumplings
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
-
In a large bowl, mix flour, warm water, salt, and vegetable oil. Knead until the dough becomes smooth. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.
-
In a separate bowl, combine ground pork, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper. Mix well.
-
Divide the dough into small portions. Roll each portion into a thin circle.
-
Place a spoonful of the pork mixture onto the center of each dough circle. Fold the edges towards the center, creating pleats along the way. Pinch the edges to seal the dumplings.
-
Heat vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Place the dumplings in the pan and fry until the bottom becomes golden brown.
-
Pour water into the pan, covering one-third of the dumplings. Cover with a lid and let the dumplings steam for 5-7 minutes or until cooked through.
-
Remove the lid and let the dumplings fry until the water evaporates and the bottom becomes crispy again.
-
Serve hot and enjoy your flavorful open flower dumplings.
