How To Make Macaroni Cheese

Ingredients
- 8 oz elbow macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions

Cook the macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute, until mixture is smooth.

Gradually whisk in the milk and continue cooking, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a simmer. Remove from heat and stir in the cheese until melted and smooth.
