How To Make Baked Penne Pasta
A hearty baked pasta dish with penne noodles, Italian sausage, marinara sauce, and gooey melted cheese.

Ingredients
- 8 oz penne pasta
- 1 lb Italian sausage
- 1 jar marinara sauce
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Cook penne pasta according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, cook Italian sausage until browned and cooked through. Drain excess grease.

Add marinara sauce to skillet with cooked sausage and stir to combine.

In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked pasta with the sausage and sauce mixture.

Add in mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix well.

Transfer the pasta mixture to a baking dish and cover with foil.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
