How To Make Baked Rigatoni Recipe

A deliciously baked rigatoni pasta dish with a cheesy, tomato sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound rigatoni pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

  2. Cook rigatoni according to package directions until al dente. Drain and transfer to a large bowl.

  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic, red pepper flakes, and oregano and sauté for 1 minute.

  4. Add crushed tomatoes and simmer for 10 minutes. Pour sauce over rigatoni and toss to combine.

  5. Add Parmesan cheese and basil and toss again. Transfer pasta to a 9×13 inch baking dish.

  6. Top rigatoni with shredded mozzarella cheese.

  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
