How To Make Baked Mac and Cheese Recipe

Ingredients
- 8 oz elbow macaroni
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.

Cook macaroni according to package instructions and set aside.

In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.

Whisk in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.

Slowly pour in milk, whisking continuously until the mixture is smooth.

Add salt and black pepper and continue to stir until the sauce begins to thicken.

Add shredded cheddar cheese and stir until fully melted and combined with the sauce.

Add cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir to coat.

Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish.

Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top of the mac and cheese.
