How To Make Vegetarian Pesto Pasta Recipe

A delicious vegetarian pasta dish with a creamy pesto sauce.

  • 1 pound pasta
  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup pine nuts
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions.

  2. While the pasta is cooking, make the pesto sauce by blending basil leaves, pine nuts, garlic, parmesan cheese, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a food processor until smooth.

  3. Once the pasta is cooked, drain and return to the pot.

  4. Add the pesto sauce to the pot and stir until the pasta is fully coated.

  5. Serve hot and enjoy!
