How To Make Punchy Spinach Pesto Pizza

Who says vegetarians don’t get to enjoy savory meals? A taste of these authentic vegetarian recipes will make you change your mind. So, you just might want to go vegetarian after your first bite.

  • 1 pre-made pizza dough
  • 1 cup of spinach leaves
  • 1/4 cup of fresh basil leaves
  • 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup of pine nuts
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/4 cup of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup of sliced cherry tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup of sliced black olives
  • Red pepper flakes, for garnish (optional)


  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. In a food processor, combine the spinach, basil, Parmesan cheese, pine nuts, garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth to make the spinach pesto.

  3. Roll out the pizza dough into a round shape and transfer it to a baking sheet.

  4. Spread a generous amount of the spinach pesto on the pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

  5. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese, cherry tomatoes, and black olives on top of the pesto.

  6. Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  7. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.

  8. Optional: sprinkle with red pepper flakes for an extra kick of spice.

  9. Serve the punchy spinach pesto pizza and enjoy!
