How To Make Indian Chicken Curry Murgh Kari
A flavorful and aromatic Indian chicken curry, made with spices and thick creamy gravy.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 500g boneless chicken, cut into bite-size pieces
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 2 green chillies, slit
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp garam masala powder
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 cup water
- Salt, to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
- Coriander leaves, for garnishing
Instructions

Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. When they start crackling, add onions and sauté until golden brown.

Add ginger-garlic paste and green chillies. Sauté for a minute.

Add tomatoes and cook until they become mushy.

Add all the dry spices – coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, red chilli powder, and salt. Sauté for a minute.

Add chicken pieces and mix well. Cook for 5-7 minutes.

Add water and mix well. Cover the pan and cook for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.

Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or naan.
