How To Make Fresh Lemonade

A freshly squeezed lemon turned into a refreshing hot summer beverage.

  • 2 cups fresh lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 6. cups cold water
  • 1 lemon (sliced)
  1. In a medium-sized pot, boil water over low heat.

  2. Very carefully add the sugar to the boiling water to make simple syrup and stir until completely dissolved.

  3. Transfer to a bowl and cover with cling wrap. Place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to cool down.

  4. In a large jug or pitcher combine the lemon juice, cooled sugar/water mixture, 6 C. of cold water, lemon slices, and ice.
  5. Stir well to mix and serve ice-cold.
