Photos of Copycat TGI Friday’s Mudslide Recipe
What is a mudslide? Now, don’t be thrown off by its unappetizing name. Mudslide is a creamy, alcoholic drink that originated from the Cayman Islands during the ‘50s. Behind this delectable drink is a man that goes by the name of Old Judd. Using vodka, Kahlua, and Bailey’s Irish cream, he invented the drink for locals who frequented the bar. Years passed and many variations of the drink have since been developed. And for this recipe, we’ll be teaching you how to make a mudslide recipe inspired by TGI Friday.
Typically, it can also be served frozen or on the rocks. Some would also opt-out of the ice cream for a smoother and runny drink. Take note that a mudslide is definitely not for kids. Don’t be fooled by its sweet facade, it actually contains quite a bit of liquor. Making this non-alcoholic will turn it into a mere shake. Though mudslide is usually made with the golden trio of vodka, Kahlua, and Bailey’s Irish cream, you can use other types of alcohol that suit your liking, like rum, scotch whiskey, and coffee liquor. This mudslide recipe is the perfect drink on a hot summer’s day. A tall glass of cocktail with a subtle hint of booze, it is sure to keep you fresh and relaxed.
