Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled
- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- Zest of 1 lemon
Instructions

In a blender or food processor, blend the strawberries until smooth.

In a saucepan, combine the strawberry puree, lemon juice, sugar, water, and lemon zest.

Heat the mixture over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved, stirring occasionally.

Remove from heat and let it cool to room temperature.

Transfer the mixture to an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Once the sorbet reaches a soft serve consistency, transfer it to a lidded container and freeze for at least 2 hours to firm up.

Serve the sorbet in chilled bowls or cones, and garnish with fresh strawberries or lemon slices if desired.
