Serves:

Ingredients

  • 4 large oranges
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Squeeze the juice from the oranges and strain it to remove any pulp or seeds.

  2. In a saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Heat over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved, stirring occasionally.

  3. Remove the sugar syrup from the heat and let it cool.

  4. In a blender, combine the orange juice, cooled sugar syrup, and lemon juice. Blend until well mixed.

  5. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

  6. Once the sorbet reaches a soft and slushy consistency, transfer it to airtight containers and freeze for at least 2 hours to firm up.

  7. Serve the orange sorbet in chilled bowls or cones.
