Ingredients
- 4 large oranges
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
-
Squeeze the juice from the oranges and strain it to remove any pulp or seeds.
-
In a saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Heat over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved, stirring occasionally.
-
Remove the sugar syrup from the heat and let it cool.
-
In a blender, combine the orange juice, cooled sugar syrup, and lemon juice. Blend until well mixed.
-
Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
-
Once the sorbet reaches a soft and slushy consistency, transfer it to airtight containers and freeze for at least 2 hours to firm up.
-
Serve the orange sorbet in chilled bowls or cones.
