  • 2 cans pears , in heavy syrup
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 3 tbsp crystallized ginger
  • Fresh mint sprigs, as desired, for garnish


  1. Place canned pears in the freezer overnight or for at least 8 hours.

  2. When ready, remove cans from the freezer and place them in hot water for 1-2 minutes.

  3. Open cans and pour pears in a food processor. Add almond extract and ginger and process until smooth.

  4. Place in individual bowls and garnish with mint sprigs to serve.
