How To Make Triple Berry Pie

The combination of blueberry, raspberry, and strawberry takes this berry pie to a new, patriotic level. The dish can be made easily with simple ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 2pkgpie crusts
  • 1cupfrozen strawberries
  • cupfrozen raspberries
  • cupfrozen blueberries
  • ¾cupwhite sugar,separated
  • ¼cupcornstarch
  • tspground cinnamon,separated
  • 2tbspunsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Place all the frozen berries in a colander in the sink and allow to completely defrost.

  2. Place one prepared pie crust in the bottom of the pie pan and flute the edges.

  3. In a bowl, stir together half a cup sugar, half teaspoon cinnamon, and cornstarch.

  4. Add with the thawed berries and allow to sit for 10 minutes.

  5. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F and spray a pie pan with nonstick spray.

  6. Place the berries on top of the prepared pie crust.

  7. With the remaining pie crust, cut out stars with a cookie cutter. Place the cut pie stars on top of the pie.

  8. Toss the remaining sugar with remaining 1 teaspoon cinnamon.

  9. Using a pastry brush, brush the melted butter over the stars. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture.

  10. Place the pie on a parchment or foil lined large tray (catch bubbling over fruit).

  11. Cover the pie with foil.

  12. Place the pie in the oven and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil.

  13. Bake for another 20 to 30 minutes or until the filling is bubbling and crust is golden brown.

  14. Allow to cool and enjoy!
