How To Make Saskatoon Pie

Ingredients
- 2 cups Saskatoon berries
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 package (9 inch) pre-made pie crust
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large bowl, combine the Saskatoon berries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Mix well.

Roll out one of the pie crusts and place it into a 9 inch pie plate.

Pour the Saskatoon berry filling into the pie crust.

Roll out the second pie crust and cut it into strips to create a lattice pattern on top of the filling.

Press the edges of the crust together to seal it and trim off any excess pastry.

Place the pie on a baking sheet to catch any drips and bake for 45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.

Allow the pie to cool before serving. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
