Copycat Pedro’s Mexican Restaurante Snickers Chimichangas Recipe

A different way to eat a snickers bar, try it burrito style. This dish by Pedro Mexican Restaurante may seem odd but if you’re a fan of Snickers then you’d definitely try this dish out.


How To Make Copycat Pedro's Mexican Restaurante Snickers Chimichangas

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Snickers candy bars
  • 4 burrito-size tortillas, 12 inches
  • 2 tbsp butter , or margarine, melted
  • Vanilla ice cream
  • Maraschino cherries and whipped cream, optional

Instructions

  1. Cut 6 Snickers bars into 4 equal pieces. Arrange 6 pieces in the center of each tortilla. 

  2. Fold up burrito style; seal ends with a toothpick. Transfer to small cookie sheet. 

  3. Brush all sides of each burrito with the melted butter then cover with plastic wrap.

  4. Refrigerate 1 hour. (Can be made ahead. Refrigerate up to 24 hours.) 

  5. Preheat oven to 400° F. Bake burritos until golden brown and crisp, 20 minutes.

  6. Coarsely chop remaining Snickers bar. 

  7. Place each chimichanga in a shallow dessert bowl. Serve with ice cream, whipped cream, cherries and chopped Snickers bar.
