How To Make Apple Dumplings

Fresh apples are peeled, sliced, and wrapped in a pastry dough. They’re then baked in a spiced sauce. The result is a sweet, melt-in-your-mouth dessert.

  3. In a small bowl mix 6 tablespoons butter, brown sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Divide over each core.

  4. Wrap pastry around each apple using a little bit of beaten egg to seal at the top. Pinch the sides to seal and place in prepared pan.

  6. Pour over dumplings and bake for about 45 minutes or until apples are soft and pastry is golden.
