How To Make Peach Sorbet With Lemon Juice

This peach sorbet is the perfect treat for summer. Ripe peaches blended until creamy then tossed with lemon juice make this creamy sorbet.

Preparation: 10 minutes
Cooking: 5 minutes
Freeze Time: 5 hours 20 minutes
Total: 5 hours 35 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1lbripe peaches,peeled, pitted, and chopped
  • 2tbsplemon juice
  • ½cupwater
  • ½cupwhite sugar

Instructions

  1. Add peaches to a blender then blend until smooth. Measure out 1½ cups peach puree into a bowl. Immediately stir in lemon juice and refrigerate.

  2. Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Stir until sugar is dissolved for about 1 minute.

  3. Remove from stove and cool to room temperature. Refrigerate simple syrup until chilled for about 1 hour.

  4. Pour chilled peach puree and simple syrup into an ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer’s instructions for about 20 minutes.

  5. Transfer to an airtight container and freeze until firm for about 4 hours.
