How To Make Fudge Stripe Cookies

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and cocoa powder.

  3. In a separate large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.

  5. Gradually add the flour mixture and salt to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.

  7. Drop tablespoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

  8. Using the back of a fork, gently press down on each cookie to create a crisscross pattern.

  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are slightly golden.

  10. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
