
How To Make Danish Peppernut Christmas Cookies

Ingredients
- 1cupbutter,softened
- 1cupwhite sugar
- 2eggs
- 1tspground cardamom
- 1tspground cinnamon
- ½tspground nutmeg
- ¼tspground cloves
- 1tspsalt
- 2¾cupsall-purpose flour,or as needed
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease 2 to 3 baking sheets.

Beat the butter and sugar together in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy. Mix in the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.

Stir in the cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt until well blended.

Mix in the flour, one cup at a time, until the dough gathers together.

With floured hands, pinch off small, ½ teaspoon amounts of dough, roll into tiny balls, and place on prepared baking sheets.

Bake in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes until the bottom of the cookies are light tan.

Cool for 15 minutes on baking sheets.
