Ingredients
- 9 lasagna noodles
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Cook until the onions are soft and translucent.

Stir in the marinara sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.

In a separate saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth. Cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat and stir in the ricotta cheese and grated Parmesan cheese until well combined. Season with salt, pepper, and ground nutmeg.

Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce on the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish. Arrange 3 lasagna noodles on top. Spread a layer of the ricotta bechamel sauce over the noodles, followed by a layer of mozzarella cheese. Repeat the layers, ending with a layer of mozzarella cheese on top.

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.

Allow the lasagna to cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve hot and enjoy!
