Ingredients
- 500g lamb, cut into pieces
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger paste
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro, chopped for garnish
Instructions

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.

Add the minced garlic and ginger paste. Cook for another minute until fragrant.

Add the lamb pieces to the pan and cook until browned on all sides.

Add the chopped tomatoes and mix well. Cook for a few minutes until the tomatoes are soft and pulpy.

Add the turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, cinnamon powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well to coat the lamb with the spices.

Lower the heat, cover the pan, and let the lamb simmer for about 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the lamb is tender and cooked through. Stir occasionally and add water if needed.

Once the lamb is cooked, garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with rice or naan bread.
