How To Make Moroccan Ground Lamb Tagine Recipe
A warm and aromatic stew with succulent ground lamb and a blend of Moroccan spices.

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground lamb
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp ground cumin
- 1 tbsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp chili flakes
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup canned tomatoes
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup cooked chickpeas
- 1 cup dried apricots
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions

Heat olive oil in a tagine or heavy pot over medium heat. Add onions and cook until translucent, about 5-7 minutes.

Add garlic and cook for another minute.

Add ground lamb and cook until browned, about 7-10 minutes.

Add cumin, coriander, cinnamon, smoked paprika, chili flakes, and salt. Stir to combine and cook for another minute.

Add canned tomatoes and water. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 30 minutes.

Add chickpeas and apricots and continue to cook for another 30 minutes, or until lamb is tender.

Serve hot with fresh cilantro.
