How To Make Aromatic Lamb with Dates

Ingredients
- 2 lbs lamb shoulder, cubed
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 2 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground turmeric
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 cup pitted dates
- 2 cups chicken broth
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
Instructions

Heat some oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the lamb and cook until browned on all sides.

Add the onion and garlic to the pot and cook until softened.

Add the cumin, coriander, cinnamon, turmeric, and cayenne pepper to the pot. Stir well to coat the lamb and onions with the spices.

Pour in the chicken broth and add the dates. Stir to combine.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover the pot and simmer for about 2 hours, or until the lamb is tender.

Season with salt to taste.

Serve the aromatic lamb with dates over rice or couscous.
