How To Make Szechwan Shrimp Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp Szechwan peppercorns
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- 2 green onions, sliced
Instructions

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, cornstarch, and red chili flakes. Set aside.

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add garlic, ginger, and Szechwan peppercorns. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, pour in the sauce mixture and simmer until thickened, about 2 minutes. Season with salt to taste.

Return cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the Szechwan sauce. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.

Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot.
