How To Make Malaysian Mee Goreng Recipe

Spicy, flavorful and aromatic stir-fried noodles from Malaysia, packed with veggies and protein.

Ingredients

  • 400g yellow noodles
  • 200g firm tofu, cut into small cubes
  • 1 chicken breast, cut into small pieces
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 red chili, sliced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp chili sauce
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp white pepper
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • 2 stalks scallions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Boil yellow noodles for 5-8 minutes, drain and set aside.

  2. Heat oil in a wok or large skillet, stir-fry garlic, onion and chili until fragrant.

  3. Add chicken and tofu, stir-fry until cooked.

  4. Add noodles, soy sauce, tomato ketchup, chili sauce, sugar, salt and pepper, stir-fry until combined.

  5. Add bean sprouts and scallions, stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.

  6. Serve hot.
