How To Make Seafood Tagine
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 lb mixed seafood (such as shrimp, mussels, and fish fillets)
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 1 zucchini, sliced
- 1 can diced tomatoes (14 oz)
- 1/2 cup vegetable broth
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground paprika
- 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions

In a tagine pot or large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until softened.

Add the bell pepper, carrots, zucchini, and spices (cumin, paprika, turmeric, cinnamon). Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add the canned tomatoes and vegetable broth. Bring to a simmer and cook for another 10 minutes.

Gently add the seafood into the pot, season with salt and pepper, and cover. Cook for about 10-15 minutes or until the seafood is cooked through.

Serve the seafood tagine in individual bowls, garnished with fresh cilantro. Serve hot with couscous or crusty bread.
