How To Make Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse’s Creamed Spinach Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 bunches of fresh spinach, washed and trimmed
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

Add spinach to the boiling water and blanch for 1 minute.

Drain the spinach in a colander and rinse under cold water.

Squeeze out excess water from the spinach and chop finely.

Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.

Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.

Add flour and stir using a whisk for 2 minutes to cook off the raw flour taste.

Slowly pour in heavy cream, whisking constantly to prevent lumps.

Simmer for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Add Parmesan cheese and stir until it melts.

Add chopped spinach and stir to combine.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Transfer the creamed spinach to an 8-inch baking dish.
