How To Make Liam’s French Fries Recipe

  • 4 large russet potatoes, peeled and cut into fries
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil for frying


  1. Preheat oven to 250°F.

  2. Soak cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes, then drain and pat dry with a towel.

  3. In a bowl, mix cornstarch, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.

  4. Toss potatoes with the cornstarch mixture to evenly coat.

  5. Heat vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook potatoes in batches until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.

  6. Drain fries on paper towels and sprinkle with salt. Keep warm in the oven while cooking the remaining batches.
