How To Make Liam’s Fish and Chips Recipe
Delicious fish filets paired with crispy golden chips, the perfect British comfort food.

Ingredients
- 4 cod or haddock filets
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups vegetable oil
- 4 potatoes, peeled and cut into fries
Instructions

Begin by heating the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.

Cut the potatoes into fries and add them to the pan to fry until golden brown.

While the fries are cooking, in a separate bowl combine the flour, salt, pepper and baking powder.

Slowly whisk in the milk until the batter is smooth.

Coat the fish filets in the batter mixture and carefully place them in the hot oil to cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and the fish is cooked through.

Remove the fish from the oil with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel to drain the excess oil.

Serve the fish and chips hot with a sprinkle of salt and vinegar, or your favorite dipping sauce.
