How To Make Krispy Kreme Jelly Filled Donuts Recipe

Fluffy and sweet donuts filled with fruity jelly, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup strawberry jelly
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Mix well.

  2. Heat milk in a microwave or a stove until it’s warm (not hot). Add melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.

  3. Mix wet ingredients with dry ingredients using a stand mixer or a wooden spoon until dough forms. Knead the dough until it’s smooth.

  4. Place dough in a greased bowl and cover it with a damp cloth. Let it rest for 1 hour.

  5. Roll the dough on a floured surface until it’s 1/2 inch thick.

  6. Use a donut cutter to shape donuts and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Let them rest for 15 minutes.

  7. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a pot until it’s 375°F. Fry donuts for 1-2 minutes on each side until they turn golden brown.

  8. Drain donuts on a paper towel and let them cool for a few minutes.

  9. Fill a piping bag with strawberry jelly. Make a small hole in the side of each donut and insert the piping bag to fill with jelly.

  10. Dust the donuts with powdered sugar and serve.
