How To Make Krispy Kreme Coffee Cake Donuts Recipe
Homemade Krispy Kreme coffee cake donuts that are soft, buttery, and topped with crumbly streusel.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- For the streusel:
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F. Grease a donut pan with cooking spray.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.

To make the streusel, mix together the flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a small bowl. Add the cold cubed butter and mix with a fork or pastry cutter until the mixture is crumbly.

Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each mold halfway. Sprinkle the streusel over the batter. Spoon the remaining batter over the streusel. Top with more streusel.

Bake the donuts for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before removing them from the pan. Serve warm.
