Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 4 pineapple slices
- 4 Kings Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Melt butter in a saucepan and add brown sugar. Mix well and spread over the bottom of a round baking dish.

Place pineapple slices on top of the brown sugar mixture.

Cut Kings Hawaiian sweet rolls in half and place over the pineapple slices, cut side down.

In a mixing bowl, combine flour, white sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.

In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and vanilla extract.

Gradually stir the wet mixture into the dry mixture until fully combined.

Pour the batter over the sweet rolls, making sure it covers them evenly.

Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Let cool for 5 minutes, then place a plate over the dish and invert the cake onto the plate.
