How To Make Furr’s Cafeteria’s Baked Fish Recipe

Tender, flaky fish baked to perfection with a crispy bread crumb topping.

Ingredients

  • 4 (6 oz) fish fillets
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

  2. Spread flour on a large plate and season with salt and pepper.

  3. In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs and milk.

  4. Pour bread crumbs on another plate.

  5. Dip each fish fillet in flour mixture, shaking off excess.

  6. Dunk in egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off.

  7. Coat with bread crumbs and lay the fillets in a greased baking dish.

  8. Drizzle the melted butter on top of the fish.

  9. Bake for 25 minutes until fish is cooked and bread crumbs are golden brown.
