How To Make Dunkin Donuts Boston Cream Donut Recipe

Classic donut filled with smooth vanilla custard and topped with a rich chocolate glaze.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a donut pan with cooking spray.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, egg, vanilla, and butter. Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture and stir until well combined.

  4. Spoon the batter into the donut pan, about 3/4 full. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.

  5. Remove donuts from the pan and let cool on a wire rack.

  6. In a medium saucepan, heat heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract until simmering. Remove from heat and let cool.

  7. Once the mixture is cooled, fill a piping bag with the vanilla custard and pipe the custard into each donut.

  8. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips and heavy cream for 30 seconds at a time until fully melted. Stir until smooth.

  9. Dip the tops of each donut into the chocolate glaze and let cool until hardened.
