Ingredients

  • 8 slices of French bread
  • 1 cup of ricotta cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp of cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp of butter
  • 2 cups of fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 2 tbsp of powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. In a shallow dish, whisk together the ricotta cheese, eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.

  2. Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter.

  3. Dip each slice of bread into the ricotta mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side.

  4. Place the soaked bread into the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.

  5. Repeat with the remaining slices of bread, adding more butter to the skillet as needed.

  6. Remove the French toast from the skillet and transfer to serving plates.

  7. Top each slice with fresh strawberries and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

  8. Serve immediately and enjoy!
