How To Make Banana & Cinnamon Whirls

What better way to get you in a happy mood than having a slice of pie? These baked dishes are perfect for those who can’t get enough of flaky pastries. From an apple variant to a lemon meringue, these pies pastries recipes will satisfy your pie and pastry cravings.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. In a bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until smooth.

  3. Sprinkle the cinnamon over the mashed bananas and mix well.

  4. Roll out the puff pastry sheet into a large rectangle.

  5. Spread the banana and cinnamon mixture evenly onto the puff pastry.

  6. Roll up the pastry tightly from one of the longer edges.

  7. Cut the rolled pastry into slices about 1 inch thick.

  8. Place the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  9. Brush the tops of the slices with melted butter and sprinkle with granulated sugar.

  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.

  11. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
